Activity
Construction will continue in phases across several areas of the Advanced Water Purification Facility (AWPF) site.
Crews will continue excavating the area for a future underground structure that will temporarily hold and balance incoming water before it moves through the treatment process. As excavation progresses, crews will begin preparing the base of the area for future construction.
Crews will also continue forming and pouring concrete walls for the future equalization tank and constructing foundations for the future water treatment building. Underground electrical, plumbing, and treatment piping work will continue in several areas of the site.
Dates/Times
Monday through Friday, from approximately 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Traffic Impacts
Construction activity will remain within the AWPF site. Heavy trucks and equipment will continue to enter and exit the site throughout the week. Motorists should drive carefully and watch for construction vehicles and crews near the AWPF entrance.
Construction is a dynamic process. This information and the project schedule are subject to change due to weather, field conditions, and other factors.
Upcoming Work
Utility work and roadway restriping along portions of eastbound Agoura Road are tentatively scheduled to begin in early November in preparation for upcoming construction activities.
Motorists should anticipate temporary lane reductions, modified traffic patterns, and possible delays. Access to nearby businesses and residences will generally be maintained.
This work will support the AWPF and the development of a reliable, locally sourced water supply for the region.
Neighboring City Activities
Pipeline repair and installation work that began in early October will continue in phases along Agoura Road between Lindero Canyon Road and Lakeview Canyon Road in Westlake Village. Daytime and nighttime construction and traffic control are anticipated over the next four to six months as crews upgrade critical infrastructure to improve water reliability.
