Activity
Pipeline construction will continue in phases along East and West Hillcrest Drives, with crews working in different sections of the corridor as construction progresses.
East Hillcrest Drive
Pipeline installation will continue in phases between SR-23 and Hodencamp Road. Paving operations are expected between the SR-23 to Flittner Circle towards the end of the week. Crews will also remove a section of existing pipe near the SR-23 interchange to prepare for continued pipeline construction.
West Hillcrest Drive
Final paving west of Marin Street is anticipated early in the week. Crews will continue asphalt removal and pipeline installation east of Marin Street, with work progressing toward Wilbur Road. Temporary steel plates may be placed over excavated areas when crews are not actively working.
Crews will conduct small exploratory excavations west of the Lynn Road and W. Hillcrest Drive intersection to locate underground utilities for an upcoming pipeline installation. A nightwork crew will also perform exploratory excavations and drilling near the Moorpark Road and W. Hillcrest Drive intersection. Nearby residents and businesses should be aware that nighttime work may result in increased noise levels.
Dates/Times
- Monday through Friday, from approximately 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Monday through Friday, from approximately 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Traffic Impacts
Temporary lane closures, traffic shifts, turn restrictions, parking restrictions, and flagging operations may be in place as work progresses through each phase. Motorists may experience delays and should allow additional travel time.
Access to nearby homes and businesses will be maintained whenever possible. Please follow posted signs and instructions from traffic-control personnel.
Construction is a dynamic process. This information and the project schedule are subject to change due to weather, field conditions, and other factors.
Neighboring City Activities
Pipeline repair and installation work that began in early October will continue in phases along Agoura Road between Lindero Canyon Road and Lakeview Canyon Road in Westlake Village. Daytime and nighttime construction and traffic control are anticipated over the next four to six months as crews upgrade critical infrastructure to improve water reliability.
