The Westlake Filtration Plant is preparing for on-line operation starting January 2nd to ensure uninterrupted water supply during two scheduled Metropolitan Water District of Southern California shutdowns:

🗓 January 6th-12th
🗓 January 27th-February 2nd

During this time, you may notice a more pronounced chlorine smell or natural odors from the Las Virgenes Reservoir. Rest assured, these are normal for water processed through our filtration plant, operated by highly trained and state certified water treatment pros, and remain fully within safe drinking water standards.
